(More customer reviews)If you have a Nikon CoolPix 880 you MUST have this battery. The EL-1 will keep you camera running for about 2 hours and can be recharge with the Nikon AC Adaptor/Charger.
You would better served if you pick up two of these so one can be chargeing while the other is in use. Lots of power packed into a tiny unit. Save the landfills and use a rechargable.
Also this product can save you lots of money, as the standard battery is about $12 to replace.

I admit, it doesnt have the best distance in detection (maybe an 8th of a mile if your lucky), but for the price and the fact that you dont need a cord attachted to it 24/7 is great. it looks good in the car too! I got one for a friend as well.

The charger operates on timed charge for AA, AAA, C, and D cells rather than operating on the batteries actual state of charge. This can dramatically shorten the life of batteries that are not deeply discharged before recharging. The charger is almost unusable for 9V rechargable batteries, as there is not even a timer function that shuts off the charge voltage. This means that the 9V battery can be overcharged to the point of destruction if left on the charger too long. A really bad and cheap design, I wouldn't recommend it to others.

UPDATE: After using this for awhile I now realize this is not a CHARGER but a battery EXTENDER, it allows you to use the mifi on AA battery power.....without actually recharging the mifi battery. I decided to order a different charger. If anyone asked, I would not recommend this.....I would buy a REAL charger instead.

The more mAh the better, about 12,000 is the tops for D size. Stay away from D sizes that have a low mAh rating such as 2,500 or 3,000 you be cursin' their short life span between charges. Maha makes a proper battery charger for these highly rated mAh batteries. Chech out the C808M charger.

(More customer reviews)I've had this charger and batteries for a day now. Batteries get really hot, but never charge. They won't go past 1.46 volts, and understandibly so. This is a real cheap rig, I even tried a different charger which eventually charged them fully. Don't buy this item unless you are looking for a nice hand warmer. Batteries get really warm, but never charge!

We have baby swing that my son spends a few hours in each day. We went through about a dozen regular batteries before purchasing the recharables. We bought the Maha PowerEx MH-C808M Ultimate Professional Charger, the Sanyo Eneloop AA & AAA NiMH batteries, and the Tenergy C & D batteries. I did a lot of research and these appear the best of show. Especially the Maha professionally charger. It charges AA, AAA, C and D batteries with a hard contact. no springs.
We always have extra batteries charged and ready to go for an easy swapout. Recommend all 3.

Anker had the 8800mAh battery I was looking for as I needed the double capacity battery life. It came at an exceptional price and I have had no complaints what so ever. Honestly, I have never timed the depletion of the battery itself but it has to be at least 4 hours or more. It also comes with a 1 year warranty so you really cannot go wrong.

(More customer reviews)I waited for my iPhone completely run out of power. I put in two brand new AA batteries into the charger and connected it with the iPhone. It started charging. After about lhr, suddenly an error message was displayed on the screen 'Charging is not supported with this accessory'. I guessed the two batteries were probably depleted. When I took them out, they were so hot that they smelt like burnt plastic although there was no physical melting. At this time the phone was charged to 30%. Then I put in a new pair of batteries, same thing happened and the phone was charged to 60%. Then I put back the first two batteries which had been cooled off. They continued working for about 10min then went completely dead. The whole process took me 4 new AA batteries and 2.5hrs to charge to 60+%. In addition to the over-heating problem, I have to say it can only be the last resort.
I have an old iPod nano. It worked well. Two new batteries and 2hr15min charged it to full.
No cable came with the product which is not a problem for me. The battery cover is very easy to slide open when unplug the cable or when turn the button. But it will not be an issue if you hold it tight when you unplug the cable.
Not recommended for iPhone. Look somewhere else.

(More customer reviews)This battery fits my HP tx2500z tablet PC. It sticks out the back about twice as much as the stock battery, but for me that's not a big deal. It shipped with very little (~4%) charge on it. Style-wise, it looks very similar to the stock battery (besides the elongated shape). I preferred this shape battery for an 8 cell as opposed to what HP offered (which raised the back of the tablet off the table). Also, this battery costs 1/3 of what HP wants.
