The front display shows the status of the charging and it is great. I use it so much now since I have all the batteries I will ever need for every electronic gadget I have.

Eneloops now take care of all my needs. The flashlight still works after sitting in a drawer for months and high discharge items need less charging too... thanks to the low self-discharge rate.
Because these have such a low discharge rate spare batteries don't need to be permanently tethered to the charger. Just charge them and set them aside until needed... you'll save a bit of energy by unplugging your charger too.

(More customer reviews)The battery worked well after I modified the item that it powered. The protruding + side of the cell is shorter than most AA type cells. The item that I had to modify held the tip away from the contact area witch is not typical, but made me wonder why it did not work the first time I installed it.
